AIRWAY GSA are seeking to appoint a motivated and skilled Cargo Services officer to join our highly driven, experienced and successful company.  This is a newly created position, in our brand new location in Auckland. The successful applicant will receive in-house training and mentoring to develop the skills required to successfully undertake tasks across each of the airlines we handle.

The Company

GSA Cargo Services was established in 2001 to assist international airlines to improve their air cargo sales and marketing activities, increase cargo uplift and establish a strong market share in Australia and New Zealand. With offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, GSA Cargo Services is ideally positioned to provide our customer airlines with a cost-effective sales focus.

Currently, GSA Cargo Services undertakes the cargo sales and marketing activities for more than 10 international airlines throughout Australia and New Zealand. In May 2021, GSA Cargo Services were acquired by AIRWAY GSA Pty Ltd offering more diversification and opportunities for our Airlines and staff across the board. 
  
The Role 

The day to day activities of the role are assisting administration duties and acts as a support role within our organisation. The successful applicant will receive in-house training and mentoring to develop the skills required to successfully undertake each work task across each of the airlines we handle. 

The position requires the successful applicant to:
  • Undertake data entry and data capture activities as requested.
  • Become conversant with each of our customer airline’s cargo reservation systems and manage their cargo uplift
  • Assist with the cargo sales and marketing activities of our customer airlines
  • Process payments, prepare quotations and distribute statements at month end
  • Complete flight planning and day of operations requirements across our contracted airlines.
  • Maintain best practices of flight management to maximise uplift and revenue.
This is a full-time position with standard office hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday. 
  
About You

The right applicant will become a functioning member of a small office environment, while also having understanding and capability to work independently. Sound computer skills and attention to detail are essential.
  
Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 2 years airline industry experience
  • Confident learning new computer systems and internal procedures
  • Be an excellent team player and be able to work effectively under pressure
  • Display excellent communication skills, ability to converse with people of all levels and is well organised, efficient and effective
  • Cargowise experience will be highly regarded
