Logistics Allocator

Permanent, full-time position at our large, bustling Merbein transport & distribution facility.
SEAWAY are currently seeking a highly organised individual to join our Intermodal team at Merbein. You will be responsible for collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient, timely and cost effective delivery of goods.

The Role
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage vehicles, drivers, and equipment to meet daily operational needs and maximise efficiency.
  • Plan and optimise routes to reduce fuel use and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Communicate and coordinate with drivers, warehouse teams, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure on-time deliveries and maintain high service standards.
  • Follow company policies and safety regulations, ensuring vehicles and drivers meet all requirements.
  • Help identify opportunities for improving processes, reducing costs, and boosting efficiency
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in logistics, transportation management, or supply chain operations is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other logistics tools.
  • Strong attention to detail
